Directors


Vicki Griffin, MPA, MACN (Research Director, Author)

Vicki Griffin is an author, speaker, and Director of the Lifestyle Matters Health Intervention series. Vicki has lectured and traveled worldwide sharing the lifestyle link to better mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. She has guest lectured at Michigan State University Medical School and School of Osteopathy, Cornell University, Loma Linda University Heart Institute, and Andrews University. She has held workshops for the Michigan Nurse Practitioner's Association, the National College of Nurse Practitioner's, and the Munson Center Bariatric Surgery Group in Traverse City, Michigan.

Vicki has a Master's degree in Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton, and is presently completing a master's degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, CT. She is a member of the American College of Nutrition. Her special interest is in the area of nutrition and cognitive function, brain health, and addictions. Vicki is married to Dane Griffin, and they have worked as a team in health education for many years. They have two grown children and are also grandparents.

Evelyn Kissinger, MS, RD, IBCLC (Nutrition Director, Author)

Evelyn Cole Kissinger is a lifestyle consultant, registered dietitian, lactation consultant, and teacher. She received her dietetics degree at the University of Tennessee and her Master of Science in Administration at Andrews University. She taught health education and wellness through the nutrition department at Andrews University.

Evelyn is the former President of the SDA Dietetic Association. She has conducted numerous Coronary Health Improvement Programs and health education seminars for schools, hospitals, and community health organizations.

Evelyn has seen many lives change by sharing the powerful relationship of nutrition, especially dietary fiber, in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. Her presentations and workshops also cover the relation of nutrition and fiber to diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Her passion is to help people reach and maintain their lifestyle goals for vibrant health.

Dane Griffin (Media and Project Director)

Dane has worked in the video production field for more than 20 years. He owned his own production company for more than 10 years before joining the Lifestyle Matters team. He is now the producer and project coordinator of the Lifestyle Matters Health Intervention Series, which includes videos and audiobooks on various topics connected with lifestyle and mental health.

He is the recipient of dozens of international awards for production and broadcast quality, and his programs have aired from prison to penthouse, reaching thousands with a message of the benefits of an improved lifestyle.

Dane holds a BA in Journalism/Television Production from California State University, Northridge. Dane is married to Vicki Griffin, and they have worked as a team in health education for many years. They have two grown children and are also grandparents.

Karen Allen, RN, PhD, FAAN (Author)

Karen Allen, RN, PhD, FAAN, has been a nurse for over 25 years with a specialty in substance abuse/addictions. Currently, she is Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Nursing at Andrews University since 1998. She does many presentations and serves as a consultant for the US Department of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment.

She is the lead researcher for a major cross-site evaluation study, examining the effectiveness of women's and children's substance abuse treatment programs. She is also, a member of the US Center for Substance Abuse Prevention's National Advisory Council since 2000. Dr. Allen has many publications including books on addictions nursing and women's health, and research publications. Dr. Allen believes that her life belongs to Christ and anything that she says and does is to glorify Him. She has been married to Clifford L. Allen for decades, and has two lovely children - Claudia Marion, and Clifford George Allen.

Bernell Baldwin, Ph.D (Author)

Dr. Bernell Baldwin, Ph.D, has his master's degree in physiology and his PhD in Neurophysiology from George Washington University. He has taught physiology and Loma Linda School of Medicine, and was an Associate Professor at Loma Linda School of Health. He is presently a consultant and instructor in Physiology and Applied Physiology at Wildwood Sanitarium and Hospital, and serves as the Science Editor of The Journal of Health and Healing.

Throughout the span of his career Dr. Baldwin has taught thousands of students and health professionals the vital link between lifestyle choices and physical, mental, and spiritual health. He has spearheaded initiatives that have reached around the globe through his work at Wildwood Institute, and is well-known in the field of natural medicine. He has appeared on numerous radio, television, and video programs, and his influence is truly worldwide. He is married to Marjorie Baldwin, MD, who has been an equally influential and tireless worker for health improvement through lifestyle and nutrition.

Paul Musson, MD (Author)

Dr. Musson, from Bermuda Islands, received his medical degree at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee and did his Residency at HurleyM edical Center, Flint, Michigan. He has practiced Internal Medicine since 1984, is Board Certified, and is an Addictionist, certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He has been the Medical Director for Addiction Recovery Programs including - Insight Recovery Center,Flint; Hurley Medical Center's Inpatient Detoxification Program, Flint;Indiana State Nurses Assistance Program and was the Assistant Medical Director of Michigan Health Professionals' Recovery Program, Brighton, Michigan.

He and his wife-Teresa and Physician Assistant partner, integrate Medical Evangelism biblical principles of "Eternal Medicine" into their practice - for healing the body, mending the mind and saving the soul. They were the hosts of a television series "Living Today" and a radio series "This is Living!" Dr. Musson has authored the "Truth Seminar" Series "7 Universal Principles of Anything and Everything." He is the Pastor of "Eternal Life Ministries" in Flint, which started from Bible studies in their office. He and his wife have two children - Kourtney and Adriel.

Edwin Nebblett, MD, MPH (Author)

Dr. Nebblett received his Master's degree in Public Health and medical school training at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He did his Postgraduate Residency training at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois, and completed a teaching fellowship in Waco, Texas. He returned to Hinsdale to become a faculty member and eventually the Director of the Family Practice Residency training program.

Dr. Nebblett was an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at Michigan State University- Kalamazoo campus for a number of years, before moving to New Mexico in the spring of 1999. At present he is an Adjunct faculty member at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine in the Family and Community Medicine department. He is the Medical Director of the Presbyterian Medical Service/Catron County Medical Center in Reserve, NM and the Emergency Medical Services in Northern Catron County, New Mexico.

He has a strong interest in health education, nutrition and complementary medicine. He was Co-host of the television series "Lifestyle Magazine" from 1991 to 1998. This series is still seen throughout the US and Canada. He is married to Maria, and they have four children.
